Steam is good to open your pores. To steam your face, place hot steaming water in a bowl. Stand a few feet above the bowl and cover your head with a towel so the steam doesn't escape. Do this for 5 minutes then proceed to exfoliate your face (gently) using either a facial scrub or use a foaming cleanser with a little sugar added to it. clearasil works wonders on some people but some other brands that also work are biore, neutrogena, and like. just look for the specialty blackhead formulas in the aisles
For blackheads I use a little sauna thing I bought at Linens and Things. It causes my pores to open, then I use microderm. This cleans out the dirt in my pores.
